Christian Pabón: Bass Baritone

Christian Pabón is a Venezuelan bass baritone whose commanding stage presence and vocal versatility have established him as one of the most promising voices of his generation. He holds a solid artistic foundation forged within the Sistema and is a current member of the Opera Company of the Teatro Teresa Carreño in Venezuela.

He was awarded the "Concierto Brasil" Prize at the Linus Lerner International Singing Competition (Mexico, 2023) and earned second place at the Alfredo Hollander National Lyric Singing Competition (Venezuela, 2018), where he was also recognized as the Best Voice of the Competition. In 2024, he distinguished himself at the Berlin Opera Academy performing the role of Figaro in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, and for 2025 his schedule included a prestigious gala in Natal, Brazil, under the baton of Maestro Linus Lerner.

With a repertoire spanning from the classical canon to contemporary music, Christian has performed iconic roles such as
Fígaro, Dulcamara, Mosè, Sharpless, and Gianni Schicchi. His commitment to new creation has led him to headline the world premieres of two Venezuelan operas: Alice by composer Ángel Hernández Lovera (as Absolem) and Ella y Él by composer Gregory Pino. In the symphonic-choral realm, he has excelled as a soloist in landmark works including Beethoven's *Ninth Symphony — which he has performed a total of seven times — Mozart's Requiem, and Antonio Estévez's Cantata Criolla in the role of El Diablo.

His refined technique is the result of work with master teachers such as Massimiliano Bullo, Aquiles Machado, Isabel Palacios, Lucy Ferrero, and Gregory Pino, and he has collaborated with renowned conductors including Tom Seligman, Christian Vásquez, Elisa Vegas, Christoph Talmont, and Rodolfo Saglimbeni.

Christian combines his lyric career with his background as an Industrial Engineer, bringing a disciplined and analytical vision to his artistic work.

Opera Experience

Throughout his career, Christian has developed numerous opera roles, with more than 10 full operatic productions to his credit, in addition to several symphonic-choral concerts. He has also developed exclusive lyric concerts with varied repertoires, such as "Opera and Song" in 2025 and "Between Songs" in 2026.
